LESSON #4
- Have students in 5 groups, 2 groups use French/English, 3 use Wolof/Eng.
- Halfway thru class, students write sentences using different language; assign Pulaar, Serer, and Mandinka.
- In 1st half of class, students can make use of their language chart to converse, but not in 2nd half.

- Students work in small groups to each write 2 sentences.
- Converse first in own group, then circulate, speak w/other language groups.

- Teaching unit word chart-Ruddy: 50 words in 6 languages
|
- Using assigned language, students write 1 statement & 1 simple question.
- Try to use 2-3 different words from language, plus English, in each sentence.
